• Occupation: 1 This source says he wasa stone mason by calling, but later took up residence at the place Berg Sinai and Rustenberg. He was a deacon and elder of the church in Stellenbosch
Wessel married Geertruy Elbers [3150], daughter of Hendrik Elbers [3151] and Aletta Mollen [3152]. Geertruy was christened on 22 Jun 1681 in Cape Town South Africa. Other names for Geertruy were Geertruij Elbers and1 Geertruyd Elbers.

• Family: In M.E. Pretorius Page 41, Margaret Cairns (Rondebosch, Cape Town, 25.2.1988) states "Helena always is mentioned as Vosloo. This must have given rise to her inclusion in De Villiers/Pama as a child of Jan Vosloo. To my way of thinking, she was not because (a) he disinherited her completely and (b) he stated categorically that he had no living issue."
