SMITH, Joseph
• Historical. 1 Joseph Smith and Mary Bennet were married at Aldenham Church in Hertfordshire and lived at Aldenham Lodge, where all their children were born. He was a farmer.
Joseph married Mary BENNET, daughter of Denner BENNET and Unknown, on May 7, 1774 in St.Mary at Lambeth, Essex (UK). (Mary BENNET died on Sep 9, 1831.)
• Alt Marriage. Bronwen Woods gives an alternate date for the marriage of 7 May 1774 at St.Mary at Lambeth which sounds more credible than the 1777 date previously used.
