• Alt Name. According to Mark Spyker, he spelt his surname Spijker which was believed to have been changed to Spyker by either John ( son of Jan Bloemendaal Spyker), or his grandfather. Owen Ross Spyker, because it appears that many of his older brother John's family reverted to using Spijker.
