• Historical. He disappeared to South America and left out of his father's will, but according to recent (Nov 2003) information he returned to South Africa.

• Historical. ¹ There is some uncertainty about Martin. He either shot or thought that he had shot his neighbour for stock theft - and was either left or exiled to the Argentine. Whichever the case he did live in the Argentine for many years and returned to South Africa at the age of approximately seventy - at which time I remember he advertised in the Sunday Times for a bride. He was unsuccessful and lived with his sister Lulu in the flats Welverdiendt in Rouwkoop Rd Rondebosch, Cape Town.
