• Education. Kel my son (Kelvin Arthur Edward SHEPPEY)-
obtained his B.Sc.(Hons) at Rhodes University, Grahamstown (NOT RHODESIA).
He also by the way stayed on a year after the Honours - as he was asked to lecture in place of someone who was going overseas. During this time he learned to fly a light plane and obtained his pilot's licence - in Grahamstown.
After he finished his schooling at St. John's College in Johannesburg- he went to America as a Rotary student for a year, then he returned to South Africa and went to the Pretoria Tech to study conservation - but changed his mind and decided to go to Rhodes University.
After Rhodes he went to study Hyenas in the Kruger National Park, to further his qualifications and set up his own camp (great little spot, no fences!) on the banks of the Nuanetsi River.(Bob and I visited it twice!) He was there for 18 months. doing remarkable work with the animals - and then moved to the Kalahari National Park. From there he decided to leave the Parks, and in the interim worked on blood research in Cape Town - from this he joined a friend in Durban Natal, and the two of them set up a River Rafting business on the Tugela River - which they ran successfully for a couple of years - Kel becoming interested in the business side of things. So - he studied and wrote exams to be accepted into the MBA degree course At UCT. He was one of a small number who were accepted out of a huge entrance of people, at the time.
His parents were very proud when he achieved the degree in one year - studying fulltime.

• Residence. As at 2011 Kel still lives in San Francisco with his wife Liz

Kelvin married Liz.
