They had 3 children, two of whom died in infancy. • Historical. 1 James remarried Mary Rogers Harvey in 1855 and had four more sons. A keen horticulturist, a founder and manager of the Natal Bank which was floated in 1854 in Pietermaritzburg, interpreter to Lord Chelmsford and Manager of the Bank in Durban, James James married Elizabeth Cadle, daughter of John Henry Cadle and Sarah Emily Hornblow, on Jan 1, 1836 in Port Elizabeth Eastern Cape South Africa.1 (Elizabeth Cadle was born in High High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England 1, christened on Feb 10, 1817 in High High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England,1 died on Jul 12, 1854 in Umbilo Natal South Africa 1 and was buried in West St.Cemetery Durban 1.) James next married Mary Rogers Harvey in 1855.1 |
