• Historical. Dorothy Hickson reports that Richard was shot by the Japanese in Singapore on the day of the capitulation, 15 Feb 1942. He was with the 2nd. Batalion of the Federated Malay Forces, the formal name, also known as Malayan Volunteers, Kuala Lumpur.
He is also listed in the Roll of Honour of Rhodesian Air Crew in WWII.
