Please make your plans ASAP for the Rhodesian Reunion in Las Vegas! (Coordinator, Stella Anderson, was recently in Las Vegas coordinating the party plans!) The deadline to book the hotel room at the new Nugget is ASAP! The room block and ‘Rhodesian Association’ rate will be released. Reservation procedure – Telephone direct to the Hotel at 800 634 3454 and identify your affiliation with the Rhodesian Association Reunion.

FRIDAY 18TH
PROGRAM.
Check in and then socials around the Shark Tank Pool or at the Dive Bar – both are in close proximity to the check in area. There will be Rhodie tables to join in at and catch up on the social side...
There will be a Hospitality suite available to leave your luggage in or relax in if you get there before the check in time of 2.00 pm.
FRIDAY 18th - 7.00 – to the death
HENNESSY’S IRISH PUB – 425 Fremont Street – www.hennesseyslasvegas.com (100yds from the main entrance of the Nugget)
Private room (free) to party in which is off the main Pub area which has a great Irish Band and offers listening and dancing.
MENU:
1. Boerevors and mashed potatoes
2. Fish and Chips
3. Shepherds Pie
Cost: around $12.00 or less, only if eating.
SATURDAY 19TH.
7.30 – Noon - Breakfast - either on your own or at the Rhodie table at THE GROTTO Restaurant at Street level overlooking the Shark Tank and swimming Pool. Great Bloody Marys were had there the last meeting.
Other day activities to be advised later but the Golden Nugget Hotel offers great entertainment for adults and children. There is a beautiful pool area with a 2-story high water slide that goes through the shark and fish tank. Quite spectacular! For the more adventurous there is a private ‘adult’ only pool with palm trees and clothing (well tops at least) optional.
There is one of the best Spas on the 7th floor and a great work out room attached. A definite must! There is a piano bar THE RUSH and a nightclub – WET!
There is a huge theatre with a funny comedy showing as well
There is an Outlet Shopping Mall (one of the biggest I have seen) just minutes away.
SATURDAY19th -
6.30pm. AN AFRICAN SAFARI DINNER DANCE - in the St. Andrews Room
Please dig out, beg, borrow or steal a costume or African print outfit for this event as the room will be suitably decked out in its finest African attire!
Dinner Menu – “A Taste of Africa”
Mashona Salad – Fresh greens, red onion, peppers, tomatoes, apricot, grapes, carrots, feta and pine nuts tossed with a sherry cream vinaigrette
Matebele Game Hens - Deboned and stuffed with wild rice and mushrooms served with a djionaise sauce, market fresh green beans and carrots almandine garnished with crabapple compote
Kariba Custard - Caramelized bananas on coconut custard with fresh fruit.
South African Amarula Liqueur served on the rocks to complete this dessert.
We may have some Green Mamba cocktails to add to the success of the evening as well.
SPEAKER; We are so lucky and fortunate. We have a wonderful Speaker in Doug McLure who will fly in from Cape Town to give us his 'hands on'/'on the street' political view of Zimbabwe and Southern Africa together with many other issues and will answer all your 'what happens now and in the near future"

coffee, tea, boerebiscate, coeksusuters, chilled guavas and fresh cream!
We look forward to a wonderful get together with all the old shamwari’s and hopefully a whole bunch of new ones! 8-)
Thought you and any other Rhodies would like to come to Las Vegas and party with some other ex-Rhodies living around the world. We have received rsvps from Rhodies living in Canada, the UK, Hong Kong, and the States. This is sooooooo much fun! Let us know if anyone in your area would like to party hearty! Some Rhodies are making reunions out of this!!!!
Costs (pretty much) are: - airfare-hotel rooms (good Rhodesian Assn rates have been negotiated with the New Golden Nugget Hotel)-dinner "A Taste of Africa" on Saturday night w/ entertainment $85 and $30 registration fee.
We are all meeting on Friday night at Hennessey's Irish Pub across from the Nugget Hotel for drinks and dinner will be available too - (optional)
